About Natalie Dusek is a Vancouver-based multidisciplinary creative and communications professional working across strategy, graphic design, podcast production, video storytelling, campaign direction, and digital marketing. Natalie holds an M.A. in Communications from Simon Fraser University and has taught sound design at the university level. Their thesis, "Affective listening, affective climate: sonic practices of resistance and collective feeling in the climate crisis" (2025), can be read here.

Natalie is currently the Communications and Creative Storytelling Manager at The Fireweed Institute, an Indigenous innovation and economic development nonprofit, where their work includes campaigns, video, and digital storytelling. They've also worked with Eastside Food Co-op, a $20M-revenue grocery cooperative in Minneapolis, managing social media and digital campaigns, and Amplify Podcast Network at SFU, where they led a website redesign and built AmpIndex, an open-access database of scholarly podcasting opportunities. Natalie produces several podcast series, including Prescription for Better Access (CareMetx) and Found You Magazine's companion podcast, and previously produced Speakable and Amplify (SFU).

Alongside this, Natalie's independent creative and professional practice, Affect World, spans graphic design, video and audio storytelling, and creative direction.
